OUR ORIGIN STORY

Background

Although the first event of this story took place way back in 1897, I've always seen it as part of the timeline of TWRR's formation.

In that year, a meeting took place in a Moscow restaurant between two drama pedagogues Konstantin Stanislavski and Vladimir Nemerovich-Danchenko. They wanted to create an institution where actors would learn to act realistically. This meeting, which lasted all night, led to the formation of the then-named Moscow Arts Theatre.

About 70 years later, after Stanislavksi's death, one Sam Kogan attended the school under the tutelage of the next principal, Maria Knebl, to learn to act and direct.

Fast forward another 20 years, and this same Sam Kogan opens his own drama school, now having emigrated to London, England.

Here, he develops the System of Stanislavski into The Science of Acting, a technique to help actors understand what they think, as a necessary precursor to creating believable characters.

In the early 1990s, I (Sam Kogan being my father) started my degree in Neuroscience, which I would follow with a Ph.D. in Behavioural Neuropharmacology (how drugs act on the brain and nervous system and affect our behaviour). I was interested in a thing called consciousness and wanted to know anything I could about it. However, after eight years in academia, including stints in the pharmaceutical industry, I was still far from the answers I was looking for.

That all changed a few years after Sam's death in 2004. Struggling with my grieving process, divorce after a brief marriage, illness and generally speaking, the meaning of life, I sold all my belongings and embarked on a 6-month itinerary that became a deep internal and lengthy external journey that would last ten years (admittedly; it continues but now I live in one place and it's not as full on).

If you have read the book or watched the series, How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollen, I had some experiences similar to the ones described there by both the scientists and the patients. Where after a single plant medicine ceremony, I awoke to my eight years studying neuroscience as being a minuscule rough scratch on the surface of a giant glacier of what consciousness really is. I knew nothing.

After that first San Pedro experience, I went on to Peru and Ayahuasca went on to blow the rest of my mind. These are not experiences I recommend for everyone, but they were part of my path together with the many other healing, purification and transformational experiences that came my way. One of which was yearly or twice yearly panchakarma treatments, the Ayurvedic process of detoxification - plant medicines in their own right.

On the road, I wondered if I would focus on becoming a shaman or Ayurvedic practitioner because I benefitted so much from this work. Instead, my journey directed me toward the integration of expanded states of consciousness in people's everyday lives.

The plant teachings had to be made real and applicable to how we each uniquely navigate the challenges of life.

I recognised that if you know how to observe life and self-reflect,

life

is

the

biggest trip

and the skill we need to learn is how to read life, to know why we are here and to understand the symbols and the messages that are communicating with us all day everyday.

So that's what I help people do.

Because here is where the change is needed.
And if you are reading this, you have at some level signed up to assist with this change.

[As a side note, the Chakras are a fantastic framework for doing this because I'm talking about balancing all the Chakras from Root to Crown and beyond. Often we think the expansion in consciousness is about going up and out, disregarding the (most problematic for humanity) three lower chakras, which are responsible for our sense of self and self-worth in the physical world; how safe and secure we feel among our tribe, be it our immediate family or the global family.]

This brings us to The White Rabbit Reveals' courses and mentoring programs. They have all been designed to provide distinct pathways of self-enquiry and personal transformation — at different levels to meet different needs — in what we could otherwise perceive as one massive soup of consciousness!

If there's one thing you need to know about exploring consciousness, it's that you need a framework to do it, otherwise it's too easy to get caught up in our projections, filters and early life conditioning, thinking that we are progressing but in fact we're repeating the same scenes just on different sets.

Undoubtedly, I learned a lot from plants. I've also incorporated a range of other powerful ancient wisdom teachings to structure the courses because they all contain the frequency of the universal laws of consciousness that we are all learning to integrate.

I find the nature and mechanics of holographic consciousness to be the most useful and practical Theory of Everything (although for me it's more than a theory 😉). It is a tool to bring our separated parts into wholeness, developing connections within ourselves and with everyone we meet and everywhere we go.

All the way to Oneness.

Mission Statement

Established in 2017, on foundations 20 years in the making, The White Rabbit Reveals (TWRR), is an educational organisation that offers Seekers, Coaches, aspiring Coaches/Guides and Visionary Leaders, advanced mentoring, training and retreats for personal transformation.

Our mission is to help individuals develop:

1) Their awareness of the holographic nature of consciousness

and

2) The skills to work with a wide range of tools for personal transformation within this.

In particular, we assist our clients to develop their self-awareness as co-creators of their reality, to improve the quality of their life, the lives of everyone around them, and for the expansion of their - and the collective - consciousness.
